Day 6, Photo 6

I am blessed to be able to work from home one day a week.  Normally, I work from home on Mondays but this week, I worked from home today (Friday).  Our fairly newly adopted dog (we've had her since September of this year), Zoe, needs to be kenneled when we are not home because at her old house, she was allowed on the couch.  Plus, she likes to eat the bathroom garbage, crayons, play-doh, little green army men, and apparently pine cones (well, the pine cone she just sort of shredded). So, to keep our leather couch scratch and hole free and to try to keep the kids' toys intact and Zoe's innards healthy, in her kennel she goes when we leave the house, even though she's four and a half years old and at this age, our former dog Rosko was able to have run of the house.

It's interesting though - when I work from home and Zoe does not need to be in her kennel, she still prefers to be there.  Sometimes she'll come out and walk around and lie down somewhere other than her kennel but for most of the day, she goes to her kennel, curls up, relaxes, snoozes, peeks out at me.  It's a safe, cozy little den for her.
