Vacation memories
Our family vacation to the cabin this year was nearly perfect. If the weather would have been a bit better, it would have been ideal. We had pretty warm weather but some clouds, a bad storm, and one terribly windy day. Even so, we got to do all the wonderful things I remember doing at the cabin when I was a kid. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and immediately went down to the lake to fish and explore. My dad joined us that evening and we made a meal together. On Thursday, we got up and took the pontoon out while my dad slept in. Friday, we went to the candy shop and other small shops in Crosslake. Saturday, we went to the ice cream shop and took the power boat to a restaurant on the lake for dinner. Interspersed were walks in the woods, playing in the lake, relaxing on the end of the dock, naps for the younger kids, snacks, library DVD's and games on the laptop, mini golfing for the kids and 18 holes for Daddy, and playing with toys on the cabin floor.
