Max has received tons of Lego sets as gifts for birthdays and Christmases over the past couple years. This year was the first where he'd reached the maturity to follow every single direction and put the Legos together and create what they were meant to be. It was a miracle to behold - our energetic child with the attention span of a gnat working for sometimes an hour at a time on his creations. I think this particular creation is one of his own design. It's a wondrous thing to watch your children grow and develop new abilities and interests each day.
And to continue on with that thread of thought...the other day I was thinking about how awful it is to be a mom:
