Sheri, R.N. and Stu, M.D.

Last week Stu and the kids were off school for Spring Break.  I took Thursday and Friday off of work so that we could have Wednesday through Sunday off together.  Between Stu and I, we were at the doctor's office with kids three times that week.  Both Ryann and Adam were coughing and Adam had a rash on his forehead again.  At one point it was practically laughable how much medication administration was going on around here.  Here's an example of one of our days during Spring Break:

7:30 am: Give both Ryann and Adam doses of amoxicillin; administer a dilating drop and a steroid drop to Adam's right eye; rub steroid ointment onto Adam's forehead and cheek

10:30 am: Administer second steroid drop of the day to Adam's right eye

1:30 pm: Administer third steroid drop of the day to Adam's right eye

7:30 pm: Give both Ryann and Adam their second doses of amoxicillin; administer fourth steroid drop of the day to Adam's right eye; rub steroid ointment onto Adam's forehead and cheek.

A couple days into Ryann's amoxicillin stint, we learned that she'd redeveloped an ear infection in both ears and she was switched to a stronger once-a-day antibiotic and this Monday, we were able to decrease Adam's steroid drop regimen from four-a-day to only three times a day.  Plus, Adam's rash has cleared so we have less to keep track of now.  But since just a few weeks ago, Adam was also on an oral steroid once a day, things have been confusing around here!

Hey! Sounds like a week that would happen at our house!

I love the look of the blog -- you made some changes, and it looks like spring. Very nice! I see you mentioned a new camera... what did you get?
